Barynya Russian Dance Troupe - presented by Lancaster Community Concert Association

Established in New York City in the year 1991, Barynya is known as the premier Russian folk ensemble outside of Russia. Barynya presents Russian, Cossack, Ukrainian, and gypsy dancing and music in virtuoso performances on authentic ethnic instruments. Having performed across the United States, they are perhaps best known for their recent appearance on NBC-TV in the world dance competition "Superstars of Dance" where their athletic and colorful costumes garnered raves.
