Sykes Gallery

Sykes Gallery, located in Breidenstine Hall, exhibits high quality, fine art work produced by professional artists. This gallery serves not only as the primary instructional resource for students studying the arts, but as a cultural resource center for the Millersville community and surrounding regions. Gallery attendance averages 2,000 visits per academic year.

Past artists exhibiting at Sykes Gallery include Mary Miss, Miwako Kato, Ben Cunningham, Georges LeChevallier, Hester Stinnett, Conrad Nelson, Laurie Sloan, Wendy Collin Sorin, Bill Fick, Kristy Krivitsky, the PA Arts Council Rostered Artists, and Millersville University students and faculty among others. This coming spring we will be hosting nationally recognized artist Sandy Skoglund who will work directly with students on a site specific installation in the gallery. The gallery’s operational expenses are supported from the University’s general budget.
